Bobby Kerr to launch the €10 Challenge for Student Enterprise at DkIT on October 18th

Student Enterprise at DkIT are very excited to announce that their first cross faculty competition of the year, the “€10 Challenge” will kick off on Tuesday 18thof October. Not only will the €10 Challenge kick off on the 18th of October but Bobby Kerr, one of Irelands leading entrepreneurs and a well known “Dragon” on RTE’s Dragons Den, will be here at DkIT to act as a guest speaker in the Whitaker Theatre (L153) at 13.00.

Bobby Kerr, a well known business man and the Chairman of Insomnia, has many different business interests in hotel, restaurant, and the food sectors. From a very young age, Bobby got the business bug while helping his father run the 4 star Newpark Hotel in Kilkenny and he is here on the 18th to embed a spirit of entrepreneurship among the students at DkIT. Bobby is not only a “Dragon” but he also presents ‘Down to Business’ a Sunday Business Breakfast show on Newstalk. Bobby is an absolute inspiration, as at the moment he is also raising also for different charities including The Special Olympics and Fairtrade.

Bobby will also be launching Student Enterprises’ €10 Challenge Competition. As Student Enterprise at DkIT is dedicated to promoting, developing and sustaining enterprise among students in DkIT, we encourage students to take part in the €10 Challenge. To be involved in Student Enterprise activities is an excellent opportunity for students to develop an entrepreneurial spirit and it is also a valuable opportunity to build your C.V.

Students can sign up for the €10 Challenge outside the Whitaker Theatre any time between 11.00 and 16.00 on the 18th of October with some excellent prizes to be won.

Bobby Kerr’s guest speaking event with the launch of the €10 Challenge on the 18th of October in the Whitaker Theatre at 13.00 is definitely not one to be missed.
