The National Spring Clean at DkIT

Ireland's largest and most popular anti-litter initiative An Taisce's 'Spring Clean' is taking place in DkIT on Tuesday the 8th May at 11am.

We will be cleaning up the campus by concentrating specifically on cigarette butts: at the entrances to all buildings in the grass and around the balcony area of the bar where butts are flicked over the side

Green Campus, the Student's Union and Estates will be out, however more volunteers are needed. Gloves and equipment will be provided and there will be refreshments provided afterwards for all workers.

We will be meeting at the front entrance at 11am. Anybody interested in lending a hand please do! We can be can be contacted for futher information or let us know you will be willing to help at

National Spring Clean has been operated by An Taisce since 1999 in partnership with the Department of Environment, Heritage & Local Government and Local Authorities and is sponsored by Coca-Cola Bottlers Ireland, the Wrigley Company Ltd. and Repak Ltd. The size and scale of National Spring Clean has grown steadily and significantly over the years.
