Board of Irish Colleges (BICs) Annual Awards 2012

Congratulations to Rachel Maher from the DkIT Media Society and to the Dundalk IT Media Society, who won both Best Fresher and Best Overall Society at this year's Annual Board of Irish Colleges Awards Evening on Thursday 12th April 2012. This is a great achievement to be recognised on a National Scale and acknowledge the effort the students have put into their societies this year.

Dundalk IT also were represented by the Fit 4 Life Society, DJ Society and the Gaming Society, unfortunately they were unsuccessful on this occasion, however with this being their first year at the awards, it gave all the students an insight into what other students are doing in other colleges and what BICs is all about.

The BICS 2012 Awards were held this year at the Johnstown House Hotel, Enfield on Thursday 12th April.

The purpose of the National Awards is to recognise the huge effort made by the many individuals who run student societies across Ireland. The National Awards are a means of recognising this dedication and are an opportunity to celebrate the importance and value that societies contribute to college life.
