The last week has been a busy one for Dundalk Institute of Technology School Liaison Office, having attended the IGC National Conference and AGM last Thursday and Friday, also attending the 3 day careers fair, Choices and holding a further education talk in St Louis school, Kilkeel.

An International Talent Competition is being organized by the Go International Society, which consists of the Chinese Students Society and the Students Union.
It's a good chance to give all international students a stage to show their special talent. This is also a good way to promote

The Pride of the Seas, a short film by Joske Slabbers (2nd year Video & Film student) along with Gary Boyd, has been short listed for the 'Castaway' Titanic Belfast competition, which is part of the Cinemagic International Film & Television Festival for young people.

3rd Year Community Sports Leadership students in DKIT are running a draw for a travel package for 2 people to see Ireland take on Italy on the 18th June at Euro 2012 in Poznan, Poland.with all proceeds in aid of the Jack N'Jill Children's Foundation.

The Higher Education Authority has welcomed the appointment by Government of seven new members and reappointment of two of the outgoing members of the Authority.

Stephen McManus retired on 29 February last and to mark the occasion staff from all sections of the college gathered to wish him well at Byrnes the following Friday 2 March. Among those present were Margaret, his wife, and family members who travelled from Dublin for the occasion.

A team from DkIT has won the Robocode competition for the second year running, beating a team from DIT in the final 7-0 with their robot "Jeffery".

February 21st was a momentous day for DKIT. Just as a group of French students from our sister college in le Havre arrived on campus, Paypal announced that they were setting up in Dundalk and would need graduates with modern language skills.
