DkIT Students Awarded Leinster Bursary

Three DkIT Students were awarded the Leinster Bursary for their commitment to the GAA. The Dundalk IT Sports & Societies Office would like to congratulate Damien Whelan, Shauna Curtis and Brian Fitzpatrick on being awarded the GAA /Comhairle Laighean Bursary for the Academic Year 2011/2012.

The GAA National Student Bursary Scheme is open to members of the Association who are attending a full-time Higher Education Course and who are active participants in their Higher Education Club. The schemes are administered by the Provincial Councils and recipients are selected based on their playing achievements, coaching or administrative commitments to the GAA. Dundalk IT had the most bursaries granted to one college to which is a credit to the DkIT GAA Club and College.

All students collected their award on Monday 5th December in Aras Laighean (Leinster GAA Headquarters), Port Laoise, Co. Laois.
